Black haired tranny counts sheep with her bed turned down, but the bed's in Jersey and the sheep's on a farm...
Hi there, I'm Hiriajuu and I'm getting down to business again, writing my second review. This time, the victim is the Louise Françoise Le Blanc de la Vallière nendoroid by Good Smile Company. She is very hard-to-get nendo nowadays (I got her for 50$ from Ebay, so I was damn lucky with it), as far as I know.
Packaging: 9/10
The box is the usual nendo box: small and does it's job well. There's a large window on the front and 2 smaller on the two sides, and also the picture of the figure itself on every side, with different faces and poses. She was very well protected inside, with a strong plastic tray and some layers of plastic bags. The box itself is simply pink, and that's the reason for the one point minus: it looks cute and fits Louise, but it is rather plain, and they could've put a lot more more effort into designing it. But, it still looks good on the shelf, and it doesn't even need that much space.
Posing: 7/10
Louise doesn't have that much posing opportunities: she doesn't have kneeling legs, and she has two sets of hands: one pair is bent and one is not (and there's a fifth one, which is also straight, maybe it's a spare?). This limits the number of poses she can do. Her accessories are: her wand and the void magic spellbook, and 2 whips. I love the wand and the book, but I really don't understand why she needs 2 whips (one straight and one to be bent between her hands). And also, the poses with the whips don't make too much sense without Saito (am I the only one who wants a Saito nendo?).
Sculpting: 10/10
Perfect job by GSC, she couldn't be more Louise. She comes with 3 faces: an angry as hell tsun-tsun face, a cute crying one, and one with an adorably clueless and dumb on-the-verge-of-crying expression. We've seen all three in Zero no Tsukaima, and they pretty much sum up Louise's personality. The school uniform is done perfectly too, I really like that they even did the good-for-nothing small golden pentagram with the red ribbon. And her hair is also something to be mentioned here, since it is especially well done. Why? Because it has the very same volume and flow as in the anime (it makes the figure damn heavy though). Her cape can be taken off, and she looks fine without it too (althoght I prefer having it on). All in all, she is detailed as much as possible for a nendo.
Painting: 10/10
Maximum points again, and I'd give an 11 if it was possible, because I instantly fell in deep love of the paint of her hair, when I got her. That colour and shading it has... owww, seriously, I still can't get enough of it. And the paintjob is just as perceft everywhere else: I tried hard to find any flaws (as there are no crearly noticeable ones), but there's none. She is painted amazingly well, and the colours match those of the anime. And btw, I just noticed that even the ribbon on her white panties is painted in pink. Awesome, ne?
Base: 8/10
Usual nendo stand, made of transparent plastic, with a round base, a peg and a funny-shaped part to hold her strongly: it is to be put under her skirt and between her two legs. There's some writing (with light grey and in small letters) on the base, in japanese or chinese (it's too small for me to be able to decide), which I don't like because it looks like dirt from a distance. Under it there's a line in english too: it reads (or rather shouts in Caps Lock) MADE IN CHINA. Dang I hate that. They could've wrote her name of some other info, instead of pointing out the obvious.
Enjoyment: 10/10
She's beautiful, she's cute, she's fun to play with. And I just remembered one question I wanted to ask for a long time: am I the only one who loves the smell of nendos? I mean, when she arrived and I opened her up, I spent a good 5 minutes smelling her (I know, that's strange, don't need to tell). Anyway, she is a must-have for all Zero no Tsukaima fans, Louise fans, tsundere fans, nendo fans, loli fans and umm... for everyone who likes cute stuff, pink or wizards. She's really worth the money.
Well, I hope you found my review helpful, and I kindly want to ask you to leave a comment if you didn't, telling me why (so I can improve). Thanks :)
